The Summer University of Lofoten is situated at Vest-Lofoten Upper Secondary School, Gravdal, on the island of Vestvågøy.
Education and evaluation is the responsibility of the two cooperating University Colleges of Finnmark and Bodø. The Summer University of OPUS-Lofoten will be the local administrator.
The courses combines higher education and a summer stay in the islands of Lofoten. The tourist studies will be combined by participation in local industry. All students will attend excursions in the Lofoten Islands.
Even if you are a first year student, these courses could give you an opportunity to start your higher education with a summer term course.The Summer University of Lofoten specially invites foreign students to participate on these summer term courses.The language of education is English, but you may choose between Norwegian, Swedish, Danish or English as your language of examination /report writing.
Application to opus.lofoten@nfk.no with a closing date 5 June. We need your personal emailaddress for further communication and a copy of your degree certificate added.
Registration fee pr. course are EUR 60/NOK 500. Study fee are EUR 500/NOK4000 for 5 ECTS and EUR 875/NOK 7000 for 10 ECTS, including lodging. Excursion fee EUR 12/NOK 100 for each trip. The summer university will assist you with accommodation. If your application is accepted, we will forward you about 24 June .
